HOW LONG DOES TAC GLUE TAKE TO DRY?
TAC GLUE regular is instant ; usually seconds depending on use .This is by far the fastest setting glue made .
TAC GLUE GEL is slower in cure time and is used for porous materials, gap filling and vertical surface gluing .
THE LESS YOU USE, THE FASTER IT DRIES on both products .
WHICH IS BETTER? THE ORIGINAL TACGLUE, OR THE GEL FORMULA?
TAC GLUE regular is used on everything but usually used on flush surfaces, plastics , metal , rubber etc . Use TAC GLUE regular also on any fishing application " line to line connections " etc.
TAC GLUE GEL is used usually on porous materials ie. ceramic , jewelry , woods , bridging gaps and allows adequate set time on projects f repositioning etc. .
BOTH GLUES POSSES THE SAME AMAZING BONDING POWER. THE ORIGINAL TAC GLUE DOES DRY FASTER, BUT THE GEL FORMULA IS A BIT MORE CONTROLLABLE AND IS MORE EFFICIENT ON POROUS MATERIALS.
WHAT MATERIALS DOES TAC GLUE WORK ON?
TAC GLUE WORKS ON VIRTUALLY EVERYTHING. IT IS MOST COMMONLY USED ON: PLASTICS, RUBBER, METAL, WOOD, STONE, GLASS, CERAMICS, AND WORKS VERY WELL FOR GLUEING DIFFERENT MATERIALS TOGETHER.
WILL IT DRY OUT IN THE BOTTLE AFTER I OPEN IT?
TACGLUE WILL LAST 5 YEARS + STORING IT IN THE FRIDGE WILL PROLONG THE SHELF LIFE BY PROTECTING THE GLUE FROM SUNLIGHT (UV) AND PROLONGED HEAT EXPOSURE. WE HAVE HAD UNCAPPED BOTTLES STORED AT ROOM TEMPERATURE FOR OVER 2 YEARS WITHOUT DRYING UP.
HOW SAFE IS TAC GLUE?
ETHYL CYANOACRYLATE CONTAINS NO CARCINOGENS. IT IS CONSIDERED ONLY TO BE A SKIN IRRITANT AND A POSSIBLE ALLERGEN IF SPILLED ON SKIN, AND IF INHALED, A RESPIRATORY IRRITANT. ALWAYS USE IN A WELL-VENTILATED AREA. IF IT GETS IN YOUR EYES, FLUSH IMMEDIATELY AND SEE A DOCTOR.
IS IT BETTER THAN REGULAR SUPER GLUE?
YES. IT IS A MUCH PURER FORMULA, WHICH LEADS TO A REMARKABLE DIFFERENCE IN TENSILE STRENGTH.
DOES IT DRY CLEAR?
YES, BUT IF IT IS EXPOSED TO SUNLIGHT, THE BOND WILL YELLOW.
DOES IT EXPAND WHILE DRYING LIKE AN EPOXY?
NO. THERE IS NO EXPANSION DURING CURE TIME.
DO I NEED TO MIX/DILUTE IT?
NO. IT IS A ONE-PART FORMULA. YOU ONLY NEED WHATS IN THE BOTTLE.
CAN I USE IT WITH MICROBALLOONS?
YES, IT WILL WORK GREAT WITH MICROBALLOONS OR ANY OTHER NAME BRAND FILLER, BUT WE RECOMMEND USING HOUSEHOLD BAKING SODA. IT WORKS JUST AS WELL. WE HAVE EVEN PAINTED, AND TAPPED THE BAKING SODA WITH GREAT RESULTS.
ARE THE X-FILLERS THE BEST FILLERS ?
Yes, THE X-FILLERS are going to have the strongest shear and tensile strength . If using the product to rebuild radiators or automotive structural plastics etc use either the black XFILL
Also the X-FILL Black is the best product for metal filling . X-FILL White is great for shaping and molding and is easier to work with when using it on plexiglass, fiberglass or other plastic materials .
